I've lived with a chronic illness (rare type of vasculitis) for the past 6 years that has impacted every aspect of my life. My health, my work, my family, and my sense of security. At the time of my diagnosis, I was going through a lot in life. My mom had recently passed away from colon cancer, which I was still grieving from. I was also navigating the roller coaster of being a parent to two young daughters.
While it has been challenging with many ups and downs, I've learned so much to become a much healthier and better person. I'm doing my best to not just survive, but thrive despite managing my disease.
I know it's a lonely journey when you have a serious health issue and it seems like no one understands what you're going through. I would love to support you if you're going through something similar.
