Hi, my name is Michael Lumpkin and I am a peer support specialist. My lived experiences include but are not limited to a journey of recovery from sexual abuse as a child, substance and alcohol Abuse navigating life after these traumatic events would not have been possible without the help and guidance provided by the church and it’s peer support team. I have walked a path filled with challenges, and through these experiences, I have found strength resilience, and a deep empathy for others facing similar struggles as a peer support specialist. I am here to support you. My journey has taught me the profound importance of connection, understanding, and the power of shared experiences. Together, we can navigate through difficult times, find hope in moments of despair, and build a path forward toward healing, and resilience.
