I am a 43 year old life long trauma survivor. From horrific abuse as a child at the hands of close family, to sexual molestation and rape by adult men family and friends, to 3 abusive marriages, a brief decent into drug addiction which led to multiple visits to prison, after finally climbing out of hell and fighting to obtain a bachelor's degree in social work, just to lose everything to addiction. I am now sober and taking time to appreciate the "normal" life I've never had before, finally able to find safety and peace with support and finally stay on my healing journey.
