As a parent of eight, including two children adopted from China with special needs, and the author of "Bottles, Budgets, and Birth Plans", I’ve navigated the joys and challenges of raising a blended family. Supporting our kids through surgeries, behavioral and attachment issues, and boundary setting has given me a deep well of empathy and resilience. Married for nearly 30 years, I’ve built a strong relationship founded on trust and communication. Beyond parenting, I’m a trained hospice worker, death doula, and grief coach, specializing in grief recovery and end-of-life support. My passion lies in helping others navigate complex emotions and life transitions, whether it’s guiding loved ones through loss or offering perspective to parents facing unique challenges. Through these experiences, I’ve discovered the power of connection and the importance of showing up for others.
