Hi! I am a single mom of two kids, now 22 and 13. One of my kids is LGBTQ+. One of my kids faced significant difficulties in school and we've been through the 504 and IEP planning process, ultimately moving on to homeschooling (via an "unschooling program"). We are domestic violence survivors and have also had to deal with family court and the Department of Children and Families. I am also a rape and sexual assault survivor. Both one of my kids and I have experience with self-injury and suicidal thoughts, too. Navigating work as a woman in leadership has also been a big factor in my world.
